Warner Bros. has announced that the newest incarnation of the classic movie “A Star Is Born” will be shown in May instead of September next year.
The reboot is starring Lady Gaga (Stefani Germanotta in real life) and Bradley Cooper, who is also directing the film, which has had two incarnations.
Cooper will play country musician Jackson Maine who discovers a talented unknown named Ally (Gaga) and helps her achieve stardom but her fame eclipses his and their budding romance gets strained in the process.
“A Star Is Born” was first released in 1937 with Janet Gaynor and Fredric March as lead stars. It was remade in 1954 with Judy Garland (mother of Liza Minelli) and James Mason.
The 1976 reboot starred Barbara Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. GAC/Expat Media
