DUBAI – Good news for tenants: housing rents in Sharjah have continued to drop, drawing in more people looking for better housing at more affordable rates.

According to a report by real estate company Asteco, rents have dipped by 11 percent in the third quarter of 2019 compared to the same period last year.

As of Monday (October 21), listings on UAE property websites revealed that the price for studios in Sharjah start at an average of Dh11,000.

Real estate agents reported more clients moving from other emirates, particularly Ajman, to Sharjah due to the drop in rental rates.
