Rainy week expected in UAE

 

DUBAI – It’s going to be a wet week for the UAE, with the national weather bureau forecasting showers and some thunderstorms in parts of the emirates until Thursday.

Here’s your five-day weather forecast

Sunday, May 19

Cloudy in general and rainy over scattered areas. Convective clouds form accompanied with lightning and thunder at times. Moderate winds in general, freshening at times over some internal areas, causing blowing dust and sand with poor horizontal visibility. Sea will be moderate to rough especially with clouds activity in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Monday, May 20

Cloudy in general. Convective clouds form accompanied with lightning and thunder at times over scattered areas. Moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds in general, freshening at times over some internal areas, causing blowing dust and sand with poor horizontal visibility and wind speed of 25 – 35, reaching 50 km/hr inland especially with clouds activity. Sea will be moderate becoming rough at times with clouds activity in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Tuesday, May 21

Cloudy in general. Temperatures tend to decrease. Convective rainy clouds form accompanied with lightning and thunder at times over some internal and eastern areas. Moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds in general, freshening at times, causing blowing dust and sand with poor horizontal visibility and wind speed of 25 – 35, reaching 50 km/hr inland especially with clouds activity. Sea will be moderate may become rough at times with clouds activity in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Wednesday, May 22

Cloudy in general. convective rainy clouds form accompanied with lightning and thunder at times over internal and eastern areas. Moderate Southeasterly to Northwesterly winds in general, freshening at times, causing blowing dust and sand with poor horizontal visibility and wind speed of 25 – 35, reaching 50 km/hr inland especially with clouds activity. Sea will be moderate become rough at times with clouds activity in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Thursday, May 23

Partly cloudy to cloudy over some areas, may some convective clouds formation over some eastern and southern areas and may associated with some rainfall. Light to moderate Southwesterly to Northwesterly winds in general, freshening at times, causing blowing dust and sand with poor horizontal visibility and wind speed of 20 – 30, reaching 45 km/hr inland especially with clouds activity. Sea will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
