More rain forecast in UAE in next two days

 

DUBAI – More rain is forecast in the UAE until Friday (October 19), following heavy rainfall that flooded parts of the country on Tuesday.

Rain caused flooding in Sharjah’s Wadi Al Helo and Al Madam on Tuesday, Khor Fakkan, Fujairah and in Ras Al Khaimah’s Wadi Qor where police are searching for a missing driver of a vehicle swept away by the floods.

The National Centre for Meteorology said there is a chance of more rain until Friday.

On Wednesday, the weather is forecast to be generally cloudy, with a chance of some rainfall.

Wednesday, October 17

Weather: Partly cloudy to cloudy at times over scattered areas, with a chance of some rain.

Wind: Southeasterly to northeasterly, with a speed of 20 – 30 Km/hr, reaching 42 Km/hr, causing blowing dust and sand at times.

Sea: Slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

Thursday, October 18

Weather: Partly cloudy to cloudy in general, with a chance of rain over scattered areas.

Wind: Southeasterly to northeasterly, with a speed of 20 – 32 Km/hr, reaching 42 Km/hr. Causing blowing dust and sand at times.

Sea: moderate, may become rough at times in the Arabian Gulf, and slight to moderate over Oman Sea.

Friday, October 19

Weather: Partly cloudy to cloudy at times over scattered areas, with a chance of some scattered rain.

Wind: Southeasterly to northeasterly, with a speed of 20 – 30Km/hr, reaching 42 Km/hr. causing blowing dust and sand at times.

Sea: moderate, may become rough at times in the Arabian Gulf, and moderate over Oman Sea.

Saturday, October 20

Weather: Partly cloudy in general, and convective clouds may appear east and northward.

Wind: Southeasterly to northeasterly, with a speed of 18 – 28Km/hr, reaching 38 Km/hr, causing blowing dust at times.

Humidity: The relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over some coastal and internal areas.

Sea: Slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

Sunday, October 21

Weather: Partly cloudy in general, and convective clouds may appear eastward.

Wind: Southeasterly to northeasterly, with a speed of 18 – 28Km/hr, reaching 38 Km/hr, causing blowing dust at times.

Humidity: The relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over some coastal and internal areas.

Sea: Slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
