DUBAI – The parents of a baby girl have been charged with negligence after the baby fell off the window of the family’s apartment in Fujairah, police said.
The six-month-old baby is currently fighting for her life in Fujairah Hospital where she was transferred after getting initial treatment at Kalba hospital.
Police said the baby climbed out of the window of the apartment on the first floor of the building in Kalba during the incident on Friday.
A police investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
Earlier in March, a similar incident happened in Ras Al Khaimah where an Egyptian baby girl fell out of the window of her family’s apartment on the tenth floor of a residential building.
The baby landed on the back windshield of a car parked below the building and survived the fall. Doctors at a specialist hospital in Al Ain where she was getting treatment said she was recovering from serious injuries. GAD/Expat Media
