DUBAI – Filipinos who have reached 100 years old will receive a cash prize and a letter from the Philippine president whether they live in the Philippines or abroad.
The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and Northern Emirates recently issued the reminder to Filipinos in the UAE on the incentive for centenarians. There are currently no Filipino centenarians in the UAE.
The incentive was made possible after the Department of Foreign Affairs approved the Availment of Awards and Incentives for Overseas Filipino Centenarians Guidelines after the passage of the Centenarian Act of 2016.
The Centenarian Act of 2016 pays tribute to all Filipinos who reach 100 years old, whether living in the Philippines or abroad, in recognition of their longevity.
Filipino centenarians will receive letter from Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte and a “centenarian gift” of P100,000.
Those who wish to avail of the incentive can contat Patricia Marie M. Salvador of Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) at firstname.lastname@example.org or call +632 552 4760. ICA/Expat Media
