DUBAI – The kettle is on at Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi and with spring right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to pop down to the Lobby Lounge and enjoy its lovely Mango Treats Afternoon Tea.
Presented in a three-tier set, the menu features an assortment of sweet and savoury dishes infused with the main ingredient – mango.
Cold options include a mini mango-cream cheese cone, a Philadelphia roll with mango and pan-seared tuna loin with mango chutney. The selection of hot dishes include grilled prawn skewer with mango sauce, mini mango pizza with bocconcini, and deep-fried meatballs with hot and sour mango.
The sweets are a real winner with mango-infused varieties of tiramisu, mini tart and choux. The customary warm scones with traditional condiments also make an appearance on the lavish afternoon spread.
Available daily from 2:30pm until 6pm throughout March, the Mango Treats Afternoon Tea is priced at Dh110, including coffee or tea. GAD/Expat Media
