DUBAI – Police have arrested two Arab men for snatching bags and mobile phones from unsuspecting pedestrians in Bur Dubai.
According to the Dubai Police on Friday (August 23), the duo rode motorcycles in the popular business district to snatch valuables from people on the streets.
Brigadier Jamal Al Jallaf, director of the Criminal Investigation Department of Dubai Police, said the duo targeted women.
“Upon receiving the first report, an investigative unit was formed to carry out thorough investigations,” Al Jallaf said, adding that police used Artificial Intelligence-based technology in their investigation.
The suspects were tracked down within 48 hours and arrested. Police were able to recover all of the stolen items and return them to their owners. ICA/Expat Media
