DUBAI – A wedding in the Philippines shot to fame after photos of the event became viral on social media for featuring vegetables instead of flowers as decoration.
Cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli adorned the altar at San Jose Parish Church in La Trinidad, Benguet during the wedding of couple Claver and Fleann Molot.
The couple said that the idea of a green wedding came from a relative. The Molots loved the idea, saying it was a perfect representation of their life as farmers and also helped them save on decoration costs.
The bride, bridesmaids and special guests walked down the vegetable-adorned aisle all the way to the altar, which was also decorated with leafy green veggies.
Nothing came to waste. After the wedding in July, the fresh vegetables given away to the guests. DAJ/Expat Media
