DUBAI – Lebanese pop star Elissa will talk about her battle with breast cancer at the Dubai Health Forum this month.
The hit singer is among the key speakers at the health summit that takes place from January 21 to 22.
Elissa collapsed on stage during a performance in Dubai in February. A few months later, the 46-year-old revealed that she has breast cancer.
“I’ve recovered, I’ve beaten the illness, and I won…” she revealed in a music video released in August. Her video, Ila Kol Elli Bihebbouni (To Those Who Love Me), begins with her undergoing an MRI test and shows actual footage of her radiotherapy treatment.
“Early detection of breast cancer can save your life… don’t ignore it, face it,” she said.
The singer is expected to talk more about how early detection and treatment of breast cancer saved her life. GAD/Expat Media
