DUBAI – How can you ace an interview? What’s the best way of writing a CV? How do you apply online and get noticed?
These are some of the questions from jobseekers that human resources professionals will be answering in an upcoming symposium in Dubai.
“Filipinos in the UAE usually complain about not getting a job, not being shortlisted or totally being ignored when applying. This led DuBlog to come up with another advocacy, an event to reach out to more OFWs personally,” Roy Japor, the organizer, told expatmedia.net.
“In order to be equipped and ready when looking for the right opportunity, it is essential to know what you need to be ready with,” Japor added.
Experts will be giving a series of talks at Arjaan by Rotana at Burjuman Centre on September 21, from 11am onwards. Entrance to the event is free.
Japor said the topics will cover: “Where and how to apply for a job in the right and effective way, how to be noticed by an employer due to an impressive CV, how to pass the interview because of confidence and self-presentation.”
“This will help a lot of job seekers in the UAE to be ready and to be successful in finding the right job for them,” he said.
Japor said there will also be stations at the venue that jobseekers can approach for CV consultancy and advice on labour laws and careers.
