DUBAI – Gaming and cosplay aficionados flocked to Meydan Grandstand for the three-day gaming extravaganza Insomnia Dubai.
The UK’s largest gaming festival was brought to Dubai for the first time, drawing in crowds and gaming superstars, including The Sidemen, Fasoleyya and Tommy Tallarico from October 17 to 19.
The gaming fest was opened by Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and featured more than 100 gaming platforms.
“We’re overwhelmed by the big crowd. This really shows that Dubai is a frontrunner in digital transformation and is poised to become a platform for cyber gaming, which is one of the fastest growing industries in the region,” said Maqbool Modi, director of operations of Chicking, one of the supporters of the event.
