DUBAI – An Indian restaurant in Abu Dhabi has been shut down after authorities found insects in the premises.
According to the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, the Midin Restaurant in Mussafah area had repeatedly violated health and hygiene rules despite getting several warnings.
According to local media reports, the restaurant was infested with insects and failed to maintain general hygiene.
A spokesperson for the food control authority also said that the restaurant stored food items in the open where they were exposed to insects.
The restaurant already received but ignored four warnings from the authority, the latest of which was in March. GAD/Expat Media
