DUBAI – Police in Sharjah are investigating the death of an Ethiopian housemaid who fell to her death from a residential building in the emirate.
Police said construction workers discovered the housemaid lying in a pool of blood on the pavement near the building in Al Qasba area.
Police said the the deceased, 22, fell from the 19th floor and had died from the impact of the fall.
According to initial investigation, the housemaid had worked for a 60-year-old woman who has a 30-year-old son.
The employer said that the housemaid fell from the window while the latter was cleaning the kitchen.
