DUBAI – Honda Gulf FZE celebrated its 25th Foundation Anniversary in Jebel Ali Free Zone on March 4.
The event was graced by Japanese Consul-General to Dubai Dr. Akima Umezawa; Operating Officer for Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Yusuke Hori; Mohammed Al Muallem, CEO – JAFZA, and MD – DP World (UAE Region), and other senior officials from JAFZA.
Hori said, “Honda directly touched upon over 32 million customers in 2018 through various products” and re-confirmed Honda commitment to this region.
“Dubai’s strategic location has made it a major hub in the trade of automotive spare parts and accessories industries, and we are in a position to provide our customers the world-class services and support they have come to expect from us,” said Mohammed Al Muallem, CEO and Managing Director DP World, UAE Region.
“Our door-to-door model has positioned us to provide support to companies like Honda Gulf at every step of the supply chain through Jebel Ali Port’s extensive trade network and multimodal access, logistics services from our Parks and Zones like Jafza and Dubai Auto Zone, and hassle-free platforms like Dubai Trade to conduct transactions easily and quickly,” Al Muallem added.
Honda Gulf started as a $10 million business in 1995 to more than $ 100 million in 2018. The journey from 1995 was captured in form a video, which showed the transformation of Honda Gulf through the eyes of the Honda Associates and its major achievements over last 25 years. PR
