DUBAI – Adverse weather conditions in the UAE has forced entertainment park Global Village in Dubai to remain closed on Sunday (February 3).
Global Village management said the temporary shutdown was due to “prevailing weather conditions and in the interest of comfort of guests and all partners working on site”.
The park will open on Monday to families and women, from 4pm until midnight.
Rainfall and haze affected the country on Sunday, with the Roads and Transport Authority warning motorists to take extra caution on the road.
Heavy rainfall was reported in parts of Ras Al Khaimah, while much of the UAE experience cloudy skies.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued an alert as a dust storm hit Abu Dhabi and parts of the UAE.
“Weather conditions will be unstable and will be accompanied with rainfall scattered across the country, with a dip in temperatures,” according to the weather bureau. GAD/Expat Media
