Fake goods worth Dh100 million seized in Abu Dhabi

 

DUBAI – In an ongoing crackdown on counterfeit goods, more than Dh100 million in fake products have been seized in Abu Dhabi this year.

According to the Dubai Police, the counterfeit items that were seized included jewellery, cosmetics, clothing, wallets and medical equipment.

In raids across the capital, officers seized more than 1,300 fake products sold by illegal traders.

Brigadier Mohammed Suhail Al Rashidi, acting director of the force’s criminal security department, said police are determined to clamp down on criminal activity. GAD/Expat Media
