DUBAI – An Emirati man has been jailed and fined Dh5,000 for hunting a gazelle at a nature reserve in the UAE.
The Al Dhafra Court of First Instance sentenced the man to two months in jail for running over the gazelle with his vehicle and then slitting its throat.
The judge had ordered the confiscation of the Emirati’s vehicle, a Nissan Patrol, and his knife.
