DUBAI – A diamond-encrusted Emirates airplane on the tarmac has gotten many people on social media all excited.
If it looks too good to be true, that is because it is just the figment of the imagination of a Pakistani artist waiting for her flight.
Emirates, however, jumped on the idea and named the bedazzled jet the Bling 777.
The fanciful image was shared on Emirates’ Twitter and Facebook feed after it was posted on Instagram on Tuesday by dentist-turned-artist Sara Shakheel, who has more than 460,000 followers on the social media platform.
Shakheel creates artist’s impressions of everything by superimposing sparkly dust, crystals and diamonds on daily objects.
Her blinged-up Emirates plane photo got more than 47,000 shares on Instagram as of Wednesday, and the artist also received an upgrade for the flight from Pakistan to Milan. GAD/Expat Media
