DUBAI – Don’t be surprised when you’re handed Indian sweets on your next Emirates flight. The airline will be serving Indian delicacies on its Dubai-India flights until November 10.
The airline said that the dessert menu from November 4 to 10 will be Indian-inspired to celebrate the festival of lights Diwali.
Emirates will also extend the celebrations to select lounges across its global network by offering its customers special dishes.
Emirates passengers in economy class will get a gram flour-based Motichoor Laddu served with all meals.
Passengers in first class and business class will be served fig-based Anjeer Chakkar and Motichoor Laddu in addition to the dessert menu.
On November 7, Emirates’ premium lounges in Cape Town, Delhi, Dubai, Johannesburg and Kuala Lumpur will serve sweets such as laddoos and jalebis. Passengers will also be served biryani rice and chapatti, and snacks like samosas. GAD/Expat Media
