DUBAI – Applying for parking cards in Dubai just got easier after the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Monday that motorists can apply for the card through the RTA Dubai app.
The new service is part of Dubai’s drive to become “the smartest city in the world,” said Maitha bin Adai, CEO of RTA’s Traffic and Roads Agency.
“The underlying objective of the new service is to abolish the manual transfer of the seasonal card from a vehicle to another when using public parking,” Bin Adai said.
Moving the service online allows motorists to access the service anytime, anywhere and “will save the time and effort of users and avails them a chance to select the vehicle using the parking”, she added. GAD/Expat Media
