DUBAI – Dubai really is becoming the happiest city in the world and one tourist’s experience has just added to the statistics.
The tourist lost his expensive wristwatch at sea and never thought he was going to get his precious item back. The watch had slipped into the deep waters off a beachfront restaurant at Palm Jumeirah Island.
With the slightest hope, he called the Dubai Police for help. Little did he know that they would remarkably swing into action to find the item.
“We reached the place after receiving the call. A frogman team of Maritime Rescue Department went underwater to search for the wristwatch,” said Lieutenant-Colonel Ali Abdullah Al Naqbi, director of Sea Rescue Department in Dubai Police.
Al Naqbi said a team of divers from the Maritime Rescue Department worked on the case. “In record time, our team succeeded in finding the wristwatch and returning it back to the tourist,” the police official said.
The tourist was overjoyed and thanked the Dubai Police for their efforts and prompt action. GAD/Expat Media
