DUBAI – Temperatures will dip to as low as 8 degrees Celsius in parts of the country on Sunday as the winter season continues in the UAE, according to the weather bureau.
According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the coldest temperatures will be felt in mountainous areas, while internal areas will feel a drop in temperature to 11 degrees Celsius.
Coastal areas will have a minimum temperature of 15 degrees Celsius and hit a maximum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius, according to NCM.
On Sunday, a surface high pressure extends over the country and eastern areas of the Arabian Peninsula, accompanied with an upper ridge of high pressure, bringing with it fair to partly cloudy weather that is relatively cold by night.

Fair to partly cloudy especially eastward and hazy at times. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds with a speed of 18 – 30 km/hr, reaching 35 km/hr. Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
Partly cloudy in general and Hazy at times, becoming cloudy at times by night over islands and some of coastal areas. Moderate Southwesterly to Northwesterly wind, freshening over the sea, with a speed of 20 – 30 Km/hr, reaching 40 Km/hr at times. Sea will be moderate, becoming rough late night and Wednesday morning in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman Sea.
Partly cloudy in general and hazy at times, becoming cloudy at times over some northern areas, and coast and islands, temperature tends to fall. Humid night and early Thursday morning with a probability of fog or mist formation over some internal areas. Moderate to fresh Northwesterly winds especially over sea, causing blowing dust/sand at times, with a speed of 20 – 35 Km/hr, reaching 45 Km/hr at times. Sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate, becoming rough at times in Oman Sea.

Moderate Northwesterly winds, freshening at times especially over sea, with a speed of 18 – 30 Km/hr, reaching 40 Km/hr at times. Sea will be moderate, becoming rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman Sea.
