DUBAI – A Peruvian traveler has landed in court for allegedly trying to smuggle cocaine hidden inside condoms as he passed through a Dubai airport.
The 49-year-old man denied the charge of drug smuggling as he appeared at the Dubai Court of First Instance on Monday.
The Peruvian was travelling to Egypt through the Dubai International Airport in February when customs officers found the drugs hidden in his luggage.
Police seized cocaine weighing a total of 2.3kg that he hid inside condoms. The trial continues on April 22. GAD/Expat Media
