DUBAI – Police have launched an investigation into the death of an 11-year-old boy at a swimming pool in Sharjah.
The boy reportedly drowned during a swimming class at Tiger Fitness Club in Al Qadesiah Tower in Al Nahda on Sunday.
The victim, identified only by his initials D.R., was attending his first swimming class that day.
According to witnesses, the instructor did not know how to administer CPR and there was no lifeguard in the premises during the incident. A police investigation is underway.
