DUBAI – Pop star Ariana Grande has been blamed by fans for the death of former boyfriend and rapper Mac Miller.
Miller died on Friday at the age of 26.
A source told Entertainment Tonight that Grande is “very upset” and is “devastated” by news of Miller’s death.
Grande has disabled her Instagram comments after fans blamed her for Miller’s death. The two split in May after nearly two years together.
The two had released several songs together, including The Way and My Favourite Part.
Grande took to Instagram to address their break-up earlier this year, calling him “one of my best friends in the whole world and favourite people on the planet”.
“I respect and adore him endlessly and am grateful to have him in my life in any form, at all times regardless of how our relationship changes or what the universe holds for each of us,” she wrote at the time.
Miller was arrested for drinking while driving earlier in the year. GAD/Expat Media
