DUBAI – Some 623 Mercedes car models in the UAE have been recalled due to a potential fault that can increase the chances of a car fire.
The vehicles affected by recall were the E-Class, G-Class, S-Class and AMG GT four-door models manufactured between 2018 and 2020.
According to distributor Gargash Enterprises, a potential manufacturing issue could cause a leak in the oil feed line to the turbocharger. An oil leakage can increase the risk of a fire, especially around the engine.
Mercedes also announced the recall of the AMG GT model due to faulty fire extinguishers.
Gargash Enterprises said that affected cars in the UAE would be inspected and fixed free of cost. ICA/Expat Media
