MANILA – A seaside city project worth $4.5 billion will be built in Santa Ana, Cagayan, according to the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA).
Construction work on the seaside city called City Polaris will be completed within two years, said CEZA Administrator and Chief Executive Officer Raul Lambino.
Lambino said City Polaris will have hotels, casinos, golf courses, and a cyberpark for digital currencies.
Singapore-based LongRunn Capital will construct and operate the project, while Italian firm Mercurio Design Lab will do the master plan.
“We have never anticipated a project of this magnitude,” Lambino said. “This will be a game changer in our efforts to develop the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport,” he added.
Part of the plan is to modernize the airport in Lal-lo by adding hangars, cargo warehouses, power plant, waste plant, and duty-free shopping malls with high-end restaurants. PNA/ICA/Expat Media
