SHARJAH – Over 250,000 passengers are expected to arrive in the Emirate of Sharjah during the Eid Al Fitr holiday, the Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) announced.
The authority expects an increase in the number of passengers both arriving and departing from Sharjah International Airport, adding that its a peak season period for the airport.
SAA advised travellers departing the country to arrive early at the airport to avoid long queues and ensure efficient check-in processes.
The UAE announced that Tuesday (June 4) will be the first day of Eid Al Fitr.
Earlier, the UAE Cabinet announced a 7-day Eid holiday for the public sector beginning on June 2, while the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced that the Eid break for private sector workers will begin on June 3. ICA/Expat Media
