DUBAI – A three-year-old boy narrowly escaped death after he drowned in a swimming pool in Dubai.
The incident happened on June 15 in Motor City, said an official at Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS).
Paramedics found the boy unconscious when they reached his home.
“The child’s heart was not beating and his breathing stopped, which meant that the boy’s life was in danger,” said paramedic Mohammad Mohsen Al Kafali.
Paramedics were able to resuscitate the child, who was transferred to Saudi German Hospital for further medical care.
Al Kafali said the incident should help parents be cautious about leaving their children unattended near pools or the beach. GAD/Expat Media
