DUBAI – When will Ramadan end and Eid Al Fitr start in the UAE?
The moon-sighting committee in the UAE is meeting on Thursday to determine just that, according to Minister of Justice Sultan Bin Saeed Al Badi Al Dhaheri.
Al Daheri has issued a decision setting up the committee to detect the beginning of the month of Shawwal, which marks the end of Ramadan and the start of Eid Al Fitr.
The justice minister said that the committee will hold a meeting after Maghrib prayer on Thursday (June 14) t the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department.
Al Daheri also ordered all Sharia courts in the UAE to look out for the crescent moon and to inform the committee of any sightings.
