DUBAI – In the mood for shopping? You might want to wait for the first day of Eid when six malls in Abu Dhabi will hold a grand sale offering discounts of up to 90 percent.
The 24-hour mega sale will be held to mark the first day of Eid, the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) announced.
Eid is expected to fall on June 15.
The DCT Abu Dhabi said that more than 500 stores in participating malls will take part in the sale, which starts at 10am on June 15 and ends until 10am on June 16.
The participating malls are World Trade Centre Mall, Al Jimi Mall, Dalma Mall, Marina Mall, Bawadi Mall and Yas Mall.
A representative from Hili Mall, which was earlier reported to be part of the 24-hour sale, told expatmedia.net on Wednesday (June 6) that the mall will not be participating.
The mall, however, will be participating in the upcoming Abu Dhabi Summer Season, said Jeramie del Rosario, Marketing Officer of Hili Mall.
Meanwhile, mall goers can catch a five-minute fireworks display at 9pm on June 15 at Abu Dhabi corniche and in Al Ain’s Hazza bin Zayed stadium.
The mega sale will be followed by the Abu Dhabi Summer Season that runs from June 21 to August 18. GAD/Expat Media
