DUBAI – The prices of more than 15,000 items wil be marked down at Union Coop’s Ramadan sale.
The hypermarket chain said that shoppers can expect discounts of up to 75 percent on food and non-food items during Ramadan, which is expected to start on May 17.
“For this Ramadan, we came up with nine promotional plans that will see the price reduction of products by 25 to 75 per cent. Every five days there will be a different promotion,” said Khalid Humaid Bin Diban Al Falasi, CEO of Union Coop.
“This year we have 15,000 products on reduction compared to 5,000 in the previous years,” Al Falasi added.
A 50 percent discount will apply to fruits and vegetables, and “a wide range of consumer products that everyone can benefit from.”
Union Coop’s branches in Umm Suqeim, Wasel and Al Twar will open 24 hours beginning on Ramadan to accommodate an influx of shoppers, Al Falasi said. GAD/Expat Media
