DUBAI – You don’t have to be Tom Cruise or some daredevil to try this, but you can experience how it feels to scale the world’s tallest building and then jump down the Dubai Fountain, for free until April 25 and Dh35 after that.
The catch? It’s virtual reality, of course.
Mission 828 offers visitors a virtual reality experience of climbing up 160 floors of the iconic Burj Khalifa, and then jumping off in a parachute down the Dubai Fountain.
At the Top viewing deck teamed up with technology pioneers HTC Vive to showcase the technology at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) at the Dubai International Convention Centre.

A four-minute experience takes visitors on a highly realistic simulated environment complete with a motion-oriented platform that lets them feel the wind and see everything in ultra-high resolution.
Visitors can head to Dubai Tourism’s stand (ME110) at ATM to experience Mission 828 from 10am to 5pm until April 25.
It will move to the Dubai Mall Fashion Avenue Level 125 and Level 124, where people can access it for only Dh35 per person. GAD/Expat Media
