DUBAI – Good news for UAE shoppers: More than 10,000 products and goods will be cheaper by up to 50 percent during Ramadan.
The Ministry of Economy on Tuesday (April 10) announced that the discounts will be given in 600 outlets across the UAE throughout Ramadan, which is likely to start on May 17.
Cooperatives and supermarket outlets in the UAE are expected to reduce prices of goods from 25 percent to 50 percent, said Hashim Al Nuaimi, director of Consumer Protection at the ministry.
Shoppers can also expect some products to be sold at cost price.
Union Coop, meanwhile, is relaunching its open basket campaign that offers shoppers two packages of 20 items costing less than Dh100 and another package of 20 itmes costing less than Dh200. GAD/Expat Media
