NEW JERSEY – A New Jersey man ended up paying $1,635 (Dh5,872) for an Uber ride from West Virginia to New Jersey after taking the ride while drunk.
Kenny Bachman described the experience as “crazy.”
NJ.com reported that the inebriated Bachman thought he was taking an Uber to his home near the West Virginia University campus.
Two hours later, he was woken up by the driver. He had no recollection of what happened but found out that he was already in New Jersey.
The extra long ride cost him $1,635 because he also paid the driver money for toll fees. It also turned out that he had ordered a six-passenger UberXL, which cost him extra.
Bachman said he tried to challenge the fare with Uber, but was not successful as the ride was registered. However, he still gave the driver five stars. GAD/Expat Media
