DUBAI – Expatriates in Dubai and Mumbai are among the world’s highest paid employees, according to a new survey.
In Dubai, expats have reported earning as much as $138,177 (Dh507,524) per year, which is higher than the global average of $99,903 (Dh366,943), according to HSBC’s Expat Explorer survey. A total of 27,587 expats around the world participated in the survey.
According to the survey, expats in the emirate earn more than their counterparts in Abu Dhabi, Doha, Kuwait, New Zealand, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.
But the highest paid expats in the world are in Mumbai, where they are earning salaries of up to $217,165 a year.
