RAS AL KHAIMAH – To ring in the New Year, Ras Al Khaimah is having a spectacular fireworks display that will also give photographers the chance to win Dh10,000.
The 2018 Ras Al Khaimah New Year’s Eve Fireworks by Al Marjan Island will light up the skies from 120 sites and will be the emirate’s bid for a new world record in 2018.
To capture the moment, amateur or professional photographers can take part in the photo competition, which opens on December 31 and closes on January 1.
Three winners will be selected in two categories: Social pictures that depict people celebrating the fireworks and two, visuals of the fireworks.
Photographs may be submitted through Al Marjan Island’s social media platforms with the hashtag #RAKNYE.
In addition to a cash prize of Dh10,000, the first prize winners will be rewarded with a family stay at Rixos Hotel. Online entry forms are available at www.raknewyearseve.com. GAD/Expat Media
