MUMBAI – Bollywood actor Shashi Kapoor died on Monday. He was 79.
Kapoor was admitted to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on Sunday night for chest infection, said his nephew, actor Randhir Kapoor.
Shashi Kapoor is survived by his daughter Sanjana and his two sons Kunal and Kapoor.
The late Kapoor had starred in 116 films after making his debut in the 1961 movie Dharmputra.
He was honoured with the Padma Bhushan award in 2011, and was the third member of the Kapoor clan to receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2015. DAJ/Expat Media
