DUBAI – Have a blast (quite literally) during the UAE National Day, with a sparkling fireworks show in parts of the UAE to get you in the spirit.
Here are places where you can catch them:
At 9pm from December 1 to 3, Global Village will be setting off a grand fireworks display that’s going to be 200 metres high. Opening hours will be extended from December 1 to 5, with plenty of activities scheduled. Find out more
Dubai Festival City
Fireworks start from 9:10pm on December 2 at Dubai Festival City, but you can always come early because there’s plenty of aerobatic shows, including a fly-past by Al Fursan, starting at 1:30pm. Evening shows until 11:15 pm include cultural programs and live Jet Pack stunt shows.
A spectacular fireworks display will light up Dubai’s newest beachfront destination on December 1 at 9:30pm. There will also be special UAE National Day cultural shows planned.
Fireworks and free entertainment are two of the grand features in The Beach for the National Day weekend on December 2. The fireworks show starts at 9:30pm.
On December 1 and 2, entrance to Riverland at Dubai Parks and Resorts be free and you can watch a free concert and a fireworks display starting at 8pm. You just need to shell out Dh20 for general parking, although this will be free after 6:30pm on December 2.
Yas Marina Circuit
If you’re in the capital, head to Yas Marina Circuit has lined up family-friendly activities on December 2, from 2pm to 9pm. Make sure to catch the fireworks show at 9pm.
Al Maryah Island
The waterfront promenade in Al Maryah Island will be transformed into old UAE to transport you back in time. Think traditional Arabic houses, and musical performances. A four-minute fireworks show starts at 9pm on December 2.
Al Qasba has plenty of entertainment, leisure and cultural events for the entire family throughout the day on December 2, with a fireworks show at 10pm.
