The Dubai Shopping Festival runs from December 26 to January 27

DUBAI – Value Added Tax (VAT) will be implemented in the UAE beginning on January 1, and if you’re worried it will cost you more during your Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) spree, you actually have a chance to shop tax-free!
The Dubai Tourism announced that DSF will begin on December 26, giving shoppers a six-day window before a 5 percent VAT is rolled out across the UAE.
The month-long shopping extravaganza will run until January 27, 2018, and will include fireworks displays, fashion shows and, of course, mega sales.
A special 12-hour sale will kick off on December 26, giving shoppers additional discounts on marked down sale prices across six Majid Al Futtaim malls from 12pm to 12am. DAJ/Expat Media
