MANILA – American chef and TV host Anthony Bourdain will be looking for food vendors or partners in the Philippines who will join the Bourdain Market set to open in New York in 2019.
“He wants it (referring to Bourdain Market) to be a cross between Taiwan’s street food market and Singapore’s hawker centers. That’s the easy part. The fun part is travelling around the world to look for those 100 hawkers. So definitely, some must be from the Philippines!” KF Seetoh, a consultant of Bourdain Market, told ABS-CBN.
Bourdain will be in Manila as a guest speaker at the World Street Food Congress, which will be held at the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds on May 31 to June 4.
During the street food congress, Bourdain will hold a town hall style-gathering and Seetoh said Bourdain will surely “draw a ruckus”. GAC/Expat Media
