SOUTH AFRICA – At least 18 school children perished when they were minibus they were riding on collided with a truck at a highway north of the South African capital of Pretoria on Friday.
Emergency service spokesman Russel Meiring told CNN that the minibus’s driver was also killed in the accident.
The number of injured was unknown as of presstime but medical personnel treated those hurt when they arrived at the scene of the accident.
The minibus burst into flames as a result of the collision.
